The Diamond Jubilee Pageant is celebrating 60 years of Queen Elizabeth’s reign. Members of the Royal Family, with Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will attend the event.

“After having had the privilege to perform before Her Majesty, the Queen of England and Prince Phillip the Duke of Edinburg at Buckingham Palace in November 2007 and then again in Kampala during the Commonwealth Heads of State Meeting during the same year; we are honoured to be a part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Pageant this year,” says Gary Skinner, Founder: Watoto Ministries.

The choir has been invited to perform their song ‘Beautiful Africa’, the title track of their new album for The Queen. Beautiful Africa is a rich and vibrant, original African piece accompanied with a blend of colourful, traditional and contemporary dance routines.

The talented choir helped write and compose the song as a representation of their story of Hope. It's a story of a new generation of African leaders emerging, to rescue a continent from ruin. Each of the children in the choir has suffered the loss of one or both parents.

Watoto Child Care Ministries is a holistic, residential care organization that is dedicated to the plight of orphaned children and vulnerable women; including former child soldiers and the war-torn community of Northern Uganda. Currently, Watoto cares for more than 4,500 orphans and vulnerable women.

The children touring in the UK are excited to sing before the world and celebrate this momentous occasion. They will join in with other performers in a 90 minute theatrical performance celebrating the 250 plus Commonwealth and State visits The Queen has made during Her Reign.
