Christian Lead Singers and NFL Players Join Together for Golf

Christian lead singers Michael W. Smith, Paul Colman, Trevor Morgan and Across The Sky’s Justin Unger and Ben Kolarcik gather with NFL stars to participate in Chris Sanders Youth Life Learning Center Golf Classic in Nashville on May 21.

The former Titan Chris Sanders hosts the tournament raising $100,000 for Nashville’s Youth Life Learning Center, an after-school program for at-risk youth. The center was founded in 2002 by veteran Washington redskin Darell Green as a branch of the Youth Life Foundation based in D.C.

In the philanthropic event, the music artists played alongside Green and former Redskins Art Monk, Charles Mann, Tim Johnson, Darryl Morrison, Ken Harvey and other Redskins. Other participating atheletes include Derrick Mason and Marcus Robertson of the Tennessee Titans, Ernie Conwell of the New Orleans Saints, and Tony Boselli of the Houston Texans.

Sponsors and contributors of the event include EMI Christian Music Groups such as Thomas Nelson, Gotee Records, Provident Music Group and Rocketown Records.

Nashville’s Way-FM (WAYM) morning hosts Marcia Ware and Jeff Brown greeted the participants with Chris Sanders, who particates weekly on the radio staton's show.
