Tim Hughes, Dove Award winning songwriter of "Here I am to Worship," will release his long-awaited second US album, "When Silence Falls," on August 24.

Hughes is a young British artist who leads worship for the Soul Survivor church in England. Tim released his debut project, "HERE I AM TO WORSHIP," in 2001, which set up a new standard of worship. The single was soon recorded by everyone from Michael W. Smith and Rebecca St. James to Plus One and has become a modern church song. In April, "Here I Am To Worship" brought Hughes the Dove Award for Worship Song of the Year.

“When Silence Falls” will include another defining work by Hughes, "Beautiful One," already a new favorite in the worship culture and recently recorded by 2004 Dove Award winning New Artist and Male Vocalist Jeremy Camp for his worship project, “Carried Me.”

SILENCE will be released soon in August 24, 2004. Shortly, Tim Hughes will visit the US to perform at Youth Specialties events in Anaheim, CA (September), Dallas, TX (October), and Atlanta, GA (November). Also in November, he will embark on a 10-city tour that includes several Vineyard churches.

Fellow worship artist and Soul Survivor church leader Matt Redman says:

"Tim has a real gift for leading worship, and an inspired way of writing songs for the saints to sing. But even more than this, I admire him for his humility, and passion for God. Tim is a man most definitely running in the right direction."
