Greater Billy Graham Crusade - Day One

June 24, 2005 - Rev. Billy Graham held his last crusade in New York City, which is also his last in the United States, has attracted 60,000 diverse attendants from across the nation. The performance by Tommy Coomes Band, Salvador, and Steven Curtis Chapman roused the atmosphere. Rev. Graham referred to passage in the Book of John where Jesus conversed with Nicodemus, and with "Rebirth" as the title, the sermon brought forth a strong message in the short 30 minutes that it lasted. The sermon guided the crowd to look deeply within, come to Jesus, and in repentance receive true salvation.

The crusade was translated into 21 different languages, including sign language service for the deaf. After the sermon, Rev. Graham called the crowd to come forth; thousands of people swarmed toward the stage repenting and coming to Christ.
