China Graduate School of Theology Holds 30th Anniversary Celebration

On April 17, 23, 24 , China Graduate School of Theology will celebrate its 30th Anniversary in several locations in the West Coast of United States. These areas include San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles. During this celebration, Dr. Wilson W. Chow, president of CGTS and a professor of biblical studies, will be speaking on "Wide and Effective Door" - The Calling of the Lord and Experiences of Serving.

With the theme, "All that we have accomplished you have done for us," taken from Isaiah 26:12, the focus of the celebration is to share the accomplishments and influences that CGST has made towards the global Christian community.

As one of most influential theologicial Chinese graduate school around the world, CGST has been pressing towards the vision of "Rooted in Hong Kong, Committed in China."

"With the strong foundation that God has given us, we will hold steadfast to our mission, and train effective servants for God's kingdom," said CGST.

For the past 30 years, CGST has trained thousands of scholars, who now serve in well-known churches, Christian organizations, Theological seminaries and in different industries all over the world as witnesses of the Lord.

The school has grown greatly as the number of students multiplied, where the students have increased 15 times more, and faculties, who are top professors among the Chinese Christian community, have increased.

CGST wishes to spread workers all over China in following the great commission. They plan to establish chair professorships and increase faculty, to develop ThM and PhD programs for post graduate studies.

In addition, they will offer extension theological education towards key groups in the Christian community such as business professionals, leaders, caring ministry providers and civil servants.

However, the most important goal is make a lasting contribution by supporting the growth of churches in China and the construction of theological seminaries and schools.
