Our True Shepherd

John 10:14-16 "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me-- just as the Father knows me and I know the Father--and I lay down my life for the sheep."

We are the Lord's sheep and the take-care of His sheep. Have you ever loved someone and you come to know that person from deep inside? If the answer is 'Yes,' you will recognize little of the love that the Lord has for us. In this passage, Jesus tells to a crowd, "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father..." Who is Jesus? He is the Son of God who loves God with all of his heart. Just as God knows us through the amazing love, Jesus knows us because he loves us.

There are many times when we lose sight of Christ and his love. I was once entrapped in pursuing my happiness and my joy. I may have been one lamb that went astray. I may have followed a hired hand that cares nothing for one sheep such as I.

These scriptures are for you to remember the love and return to the loving arms of the Lord. We may be lost, but the Lord searches us and finds us. Through this kind of world of love, the world does not perish but sustains itself. As a garden needs its gardener, the world needs God. We have to repent and return to the love of God, for His love extended throughout this universe to enable us to breathe in the Spirit of God and live.

Just as the Lord knows us through the love that created all things, let us seek to find this love and return this love by caring others.
