FCA Summer Camps to Kick-off

Fellowship of Christian Athletes which celebrated its 50th Anniversary this year will kick-off on its first nationwide Summer Camp on May 31. An abundance of camps featuring emphases in sports, mutli-sports, leadership, youth sports, partnerships, and coaches are soon to follow.

The theme of this year’s FCA Camp is “One Mission” accompanied by a verse from John 14:6, “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ FCA Camp has had a different theme and scripture since 1956.

A sport camp for coed golf (ages 15-18) will be the first summer camp, beginning on May 31 and ending June 2, 2004. All camps will vary in length depending on the emphasis.

Summer Camp is a time when athletes will share their love for sports and Christ, according to the FCA Camp site. Huddle time (small group time) with college athletes will be expected. Every year, thousands attend FCA Summer Camps.

National Conference Center camps are also held this year at FCA's NCC in Marshall, Indiana.

A new FCA Camp Video has been posted online for those interested in the event and can be viewed at: www.fca.org.
