On Sept. 18, Focus on the Family’s "Love Won Out" conference will offer a message of hope regarding many issues of homosexuality. The event will be held at North Heights Lutheran Church in Arden Heights, Minnesota.

The one-day conference, which has been held in 28 cities internationally, will address misconceptions about homosexuality. Attendants will be listening to personal testimonies of individuals who have left homosexuality.

The conference will also offer tips and stategies explaining to local churches how to minister to those who have the desire to leave their homosexual lives.

Senator Michele Bachmann, the author of Minnesota's marriage-protection amendment, commented, “I know that Love Won Out will present the truth about homosexuality. I look forward to welcoming Minnesotans and residents of surrounding states to hear the message of healing that is possible.”

Other conference speakers will include experts in the field of homosexuality and gender identity, such as Joseph Nicolosi, Ph.D., college professor Dick Carpenter, Ph.D., and Jane Boyer, a nurse practitioner and former lesbian.
