Kicking off the school year, FRESH 2004 drew in a diverse crowd of around 5,500 young students from high school and university campuses throughout California on Oct. 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center. The FRESH event featured popular Christian bands Sonicflood and David Crowder Band and speaker Miles McPherson.

As Sonicflood opened the night with worship, thousands of today's generation flocked to the stage where they experienced a more up-close and fervent time of praise.

Not only is this time a fresh start in school for students, but also a fresh start to follow a new life in Jesus Christ. Pastor Charles Kim, the event director, said that the school campus is one of the major mission fields for students to become awakened on this journey of spiritual transformation.

The event was sponsored by a partnership of several organizations including Jesus Awakening Movement of America, Korean Campus Ministry, Korean Campus Crusade for Christ, Southern California Youths for Christ and hundred of churches from the Southern California region.
