Assemblies of God Adopts Loving Theme for 2005

According to an Assemblies of God report, “Loving and Reaching” has been chosen as the annual theme for the 2005 A/G Fellowship. The theme was created to encourage local church to emphasize on the importance of outreach.

Randy Hurst, Commissioner of A/G Evangelism commented, “The 'Loving and Reaching' theme was designed to help motivate and mobilize a congregation to build loving relationships with nonbelievers and establish a foundation for effective witness."

Beginning on Nov 19, Promotional materials will be available for shipping. Other resources for resources will be made available by the Evangelism Commission that will correlate to the "Loving and Reaching" theme in early 2005.


Currently the Assemblies of God USA and Assemblies of God organizations around the world make up the world's largest Pentecostal denomination with some 51 million members and adherents.

The Assemblies of God has its roots in a religious revival that began in the late 1800s. In 1914 both preachers and laymen gathered from 20 states and several foreign countries for a "general council" in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
