In about two weeks, the World Christian Fellowship will the host the annual World Christian Conference at the Redwood Christian Park in Santa Cruz, California. The event is scheduled to be held February 18 thru 21. The theme of this year’s conference is “Gifted for Glory: Now What.”

This year, the World Christian Conference (WCF) will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Since 1985, WCF has invited Christian of various ethnicities and from different ministries to participate in the WCC gathering.

This year, the WCF fellowship hopes to create a network database containing articles and testimonies written by alumni. This, the WCC website says, will improve the sense of community amongst the alumni to give strength to future conferences.

Like past events, the WCC will host plenary sessions, workshops, ministries, ministry consultation, special interests groups and networking, small group gatherings, concert of prayer, and a children’s program. During the gathering, participants have the option to fast and pray during the Sunday lunch. Money that is saved from the Sunday meal will be donated to mission-oriented ministries, says WCC website sources. This year’s plenary speakers will include Pastor Jimmy Seibert and Pastor John Lo.

Jimmy Seibert is the senior pastor of the Antioch Community Church in Waco, Texas. In the past 16 years, Pastor Seibert has been involved with training and aiding hundreds of missionaries and church-planters.

Pastor John Lo is the senior pastor of the Epicentre church in Pasadena, California. He has been involved with the WCC since 1983, participating as a planning member in the first year. Since then, Pastor Lo has contributed in various aspects to the conference. He is currently a board member of the Caleb Project.

This year, representatives of various ministries such as the Bridges International, Child Evangelism Fellowship, East Asia Challenge, Education Resources and Referrals – China, Education Services International, Overseas Missionary Fellowship International, and Wycliffe Bible Translators will set up booths that will allow participants to understand the movement of world missions today.
