"Pray for China" has published a featured prayer calendar for 2006.

According to the "Pray for China" (www.prayforchina.net) website, the "Forget Not China" prayer calendar does not only serve the purpose as a normal calendar, but it also provides some educational information, including a daily scripture verses matched to thoroughly researched prayer items as well as a weekly-based systematic prayer for China’s cities and minorities.

A more interesting feature is that a Chinese character will be introduced on the calendar every month to illustrate the plan of salvation of Jesus Christ. From January to December, by using Chinese characters, the calendar covers the basics of Christian faith, including the God’s creation, the fall of man, sins of man and the redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

For instance, the Chinese character "blessing" is used to explain how man is fully blessed by God in his perfect creation. Also, another character "righteous" is used to illustrate how man is justified through the sacrifice of the lamb.

Indeed, more and more Chinese Christians have started to realize the mystery behind Chinese language, claiming that some ancient characters are closely connected to the stories in the Bible.

This is already the 10th Edition since the "Pray for China" ministry published the first calendar. The calendar has been highly recommended by many Christian leaders.

Rev. Thomas Wang, president of the Great Commission Center International, commented, "Forget Not China calendars have encouraged many Chinese Christian churches to have the burden and zeal to pray for China. I sincerely hope Chinese Christians from all over the world will use this calendar and participate in this prayer movement."

"I am familiar with the Forget Not China prayer calendar and enthusiastically endorse it for use by Chinese Christians," said Rev. David T. Chow, Executive Director of the Ambassadors for Christ.

The calendar 2006 is printed in full color and now available by order on "Pray for China" website (www.prayforchina.net). "Pray for China" is a multi-ministries joint effort that aims at encouraging believers- both Chinese and non-Chinese- to focus their personal prayers for China and Chinese churches. Churches are also encouraged to come together to pray for China and Chinese churches collectively.
