One speaker at the Stream of Praise leadership conference brought up how the Lord can heal depression amid the "spiritual warfare."

On Saturday, in one seminar led by Lillian Poon, the spiritual counselor at SOP on spiritual warfare, she said "depression is a prerequisite for intercessors."

Through her own experiences, she recalled waking up before dawn and going to the gym because she wasn't able to go back to sleep.

"I was depressed for many years, ever since I was born," she said. "But the Lord healed me from depression."

To the room of over 100 intercessors, she said "the quickest way is to let the Lord heal you from depression," and to find ways to defeat it, such as opening the Bible or spending time with God.

The reason why this is important, she said is because we are in a "spiritual warfare."

"If you are the intercessor, you will heal the sick and set the captives free. If you are not interceding with Jesus, you will not be able to see the signs and wonders that God is using." Because when the church intercedes, she added, "there are signs and wonders that follow."

She continued, "The reason why we have to do intercession is because there is a war coming. It is not that God cannot kill the enemy, but God is calling us to battle."

Jesus has already won the battle, she said, "that's why God is calling us to intercession for all aspects of our life."

Meanwhile she said that all intercessors are prayer ministers.

"You start out with a prayer life, and get that together. Out of that prayer life, something will begin to happen." "The first thing is healing," she said.

"God will not look down at you because of the state of life you are in right now." Earlier she said to everyone in the room that if "you're sitting here, God is calling you to become an intercessor."
