HONG KONG – Constructed by Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd and initiated by Noah’s Ark Ministries International, Noah’s Ark-Ma Wan Park has confirmed the completion of its partial construction by the end of Dec. and it will be the world first theme park to have the original sized “Noah’s Ark.”

On July 18th, SHKP for the first time introduced 12 major facilities of the Noah’s Ark-Ma Wan Park, including Noah’s animal garden, multi-media exhibition hall, performance exhibition hall, knowledge center, adventure land, life education center, Noah’s vacation village, rainbow meeting hall, ark’s activity plaza, path of joy and specialty shops. The areas that received the most attention are the 68 pairs of animal sculptures in Noah’s animal garden and the gigantic rope swing in all of Hong Kong.

"Noah's Ark" in Ma Wan Park was build with the one-to-one porportional measurement as recorded in the Bible. At the initiation ceremony held last Sept., Andrew Yuan Man-Fai, founder of Noah’s Ark Ministry International, said in the sharing of his vision that the “Noah’s Ark” symbolize “Salvation”, and the Ark where everyone in this world can board is Jesus Christ. He wishes that Noah’s Ark-Ma Wan Park can become the base for activity of pre-evangelistic nature and the education of life.

According to source, Noah’s Ark Ministry International has invited carpenter-evangelist Johan Huiber of Holland to build “Noah’s Ark” gospel ship for Hong Kong. Inside the ark are exhibitions of many animals and has a space large enough to fit at least 800 people for any evangelistic events. According to Ming Pao, “Noah’s Ark” gospel ship is currently stationed underneath the Tsing Ma Bridge on Ma Wan Island.

Originally, Ma Wan Park was constructed using eight hundred million HKD provided by the Hong Kong government, but SHKP was given the responsibilities of constructing and ensuring that the park is managed upon a sustainable foundation. Because the construction period of the park was prolonged, the legislative council expressed the concerns. In response, Hong Kong government and SHKP provided an explanation and confirmed that the second facility, “Noah’s Ark”, of the first phase of the construction will be completed by end of this year. However, the completion of “Solar Tower” that was scheduled to be completed as the last facility of the first phase has to wait for 24 months after the road planning amendment has been approved.
