“We love, because He loved us first. God made us not the same but we’re together, to sing a song of love, we will love, because he loved us first, no matter what we’ll choose to stay together, so we will smile, and we’ll forgive, for your love will bring us heaven on earth.”

From Oct. 19-20, popular contemporary Chinese Christian praise music group Stream of Praise brought two nights of praise and worship concert to the believers in Vancouver.

In their newest album “Praise in the Desert”, the song “We Love” encourages the believers to ignite their surroundings with smile and forgiveness; just as it says in the Bible, “We love, because He loved us first.”

The events were filled with warmth; the crowds shook hands, shared words of love, filling the meeting hall with God's love.

Sandy Yu, executive director of Stream of Praise, said that when she was discouraged God gave showed her a verse from the book of Isaiah that says “He will open up streams of water in the desert, a pathway in the wilderness.” Afterwards, she wrote the song titled “Praise in the Desert”, which declared “Even when the trial come, you’ll surely make a way, do not doubt, do not fear, my soul will praise you Lord, I will trust in you, I’ll put my hope in you, for you are the Lord, you are in control.”

The songs performed that night include “Because of You”, “Precious Corner”, “We Love”, “Life My Eyes Up to the Hill”, “The Father’s Garden”, “Jesus My Everything”, “Your Grace”, “Precious Pearl”, and etc.

After the event concluded, the audiences crowded the SOP sales booth at the entrance of the church to purchase SOP CDs and music sheets.
