What Should I Pray to God About?

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

Do you always have your hand with you? It can remind you who to pray for. Hold it so your thumb points towards you. Your thumb can remind you to pray for the people who are close to you. That might be your family and good friends.

Now turn your hand so it faces you. After your thumb comes your pointer finger. It can remind you to pray for the people who point you to the Lord Jesus. That might be your pastor or a teacher. It could be the people who write things to help you learn about God. Then, comes your tallest finger. It reminds you to pray for the people who have authority over you. That would include your parents, teachers and government leaders. Your ring finger is the weakest. It has trouble working by itself. It can remind you to pray for those who are weak. You can pray for the sick, the elderly or very young children. You could also pray for those who've never trusted Jesus as their Savior.

Last comes your little finger. It helps you remember to put others first and then pray for yourself. The Bible says, "Be ... faithful in prayer"

(Romans 12:12).
