Drawing thousands of Chinese Christians in the greater-Toronto area, the premier of the monumental documentary “Beyond”, documenting the stories of overseas Chinese, was premiered in Richmond Hill Christian Community Church in Toronto from December 18-19, 2011.

Two episodes of the nine episode documentary were shown during the two-night event. On the first night, “Ageless Love in San Francisco” - the love story of Pastor Guo Zhen reuniting with his wife after 30 years of separation - was shown. In the following day, “Farewell to Motherland”- the spiritual journey of 36 overseas Chinese students and scholars who later became preachers – was shown.

China Soul Association President Rev. Yuan Zhiming, who is also the chief director of the film, preached during the two nights, leading many people to faith in Christianity and inspiring many to dedicate their lives for missions.

Since late October of this year, “Beyond” premiers began in the major cities in North America and Australia, including Washington D.C., San Francisco, Dallas, San Jose, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Melbourne. At each event, the film has brought wide-spread response from the audiences, saying how their lives were greatly touched by the film, as reported on various media outlets.

Produced over a period of three years, “Beyond” is a documentary that reflects the gripping journeys of faith by overseas Chinese. It documents the vivid stories from dozens of Chinese living in Europe, Australia, and North and South America through a series of nine episodes, about nine hours long, featuring students, engineers, entrepreneurs, pastors, lawyers, internet brides, stowaways, gamblers, and even murderers.

“Beyond” is produced by China Soul for Christ Foundation, which has also produced the sensational TV topical serial The Gospel, the modern church classic The Cross-Jesus in China (translated into 18 languages and selected as course material by Yale University) and the Foundation's epic China's Confession, all of which have made a tremendous spiritual impact in both Mainland China and abroad.

Beginning January 1, 2011, “Beyond” will be available for purchase for sale in packages of the entire nine episodes, $60 USD, or in individual episodes, $10 USD. Orders can be made from China Soul Association’s website at www.chinasoul.org.
