Sylvestor Stallone called his Expendables co-star, Bruce Willis, “greedy and lazy,” because Willis was demanding $4 million for four consecutive days of filming on location in Bulgaria for Expendables 3, instead of $3 million that he was offered, a source told The Hollywood Reporter.

Sylvester Stallone tweeted Tuesday, “WILLIS OUT… HARRISON FORD IN!!! GREAT NEWS!!! Been waiting years for this!!!”

According to a source close to TGR, Willis said he’d “drop out” unless he got what he was asking for. However, the Rocky movie star and those involved turned down the request.

The insider told THR that Willis “was pretty surprised that he was replaced in 72 hours,” but Harrison Ford's press representative confirmed Ford's inclusion in the film, but made it clear the 71-year-old star would play a separate character and not Willis' famous character Mr. Church.

The first installments of Expendables, which Willis was a part of, grossed more than half a billion dollars worldwide, and Expendables 2 released in August 2012 racked in $300 million.

Production for The Expendables 3 is set to begin mid-August with cast Jackie Chan, Wesley Sniper, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich joining the star-studded cast. Meanwhile, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will also join the cast of Expendables 3.

Expendables 3’s release date is scheduled for Nov. 15, 2014.

The Expendables 3 reportedly has a budget of $90 million, with the first two installments having taken a combined $574 million worldwide.
