The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2013 will start at 9 p.m. EST, August 25 at the Barclay Center, featuring performances by Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Bruno Mars. The Red Carpet will begin at 6 p.m. EST while pre-show will kick off at 8 p.m. EST.

The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2013 will start at 9 p.m. EST, August 25 at the Barclay Center, featuring performances by Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Bruno Mars. The Red Carpet will begin at 6 p.m. EST while pre-show will kick off at 8 p.m. EST.

Lady Gaga will open the VMAs to "Applause" — the lead single off her latest album "ARTPOP" — after being sidelined since February with a hip injury. It will be her first live performance of the track. Gaga said she spent the past year preparing her outfit for the evening.
