Christian author and pastor Timothy Keller is releasing a book about pain and how to endure suffering. Keller, who is known for his insightful and intellectually stimulating style of preaching and writing, has historically attracted both Christians and secular audiences.

Dr. Tim Keller pastors Redeemer Presbyterian Church, a thriving church in Manhattan, and has written two New York Times bestselling books that have been translated into 15 different languages. He is also an avid church planter, and has helped start over 250 churches worldwide. Keller’s congregation is quite diverse, and New York Magazine says he is a “model of how to evangelize urban centers across the country.”

“Walking with God through Pain and Suffering” reflects on the reason for pain and suffering in the world, and how people can be sustained through it. On Tuesday, Keller tweeted, “How can a good, all-powerful God allow suffering? Not a tweetable answer, but I wrote a book on it.” He is known to gather material from “literary classics, philosophy, anthropology, and a multitude of other disciplines to make an intellectually compelling case for God,” says Publishers Weekly, and Billy Graham says that Keller’s ministry is “leading a generation of seekers and skeptics toward belief in God.”

The book is scheduled to be released on October 1, and can be purchased on Amazon.
