The Detroit Red Wings will host the Buffalo Sabres Wednesday in the season-openers tonight at 8:00p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted nationally on TSN2 and NBCSN. If you cannot watch it on TV, you can also check out the live stream here.
The Red Wings are making their debut in the Eastern Conference while the Sabres are looking to win their third straight season opener. Sabres fans can listen to the raido broadcast on WGR 550 SportsRadio, while Red Wings fans can do the same at 97.1 The Ticket or AM1270.
For the Sabres, the match-up will mark the NHL debuts of 19-year-old forward Zemgus Girgensons and 18-year-old defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen, who is also about to embark on his first professional season in North America. Girgensons was drafted by the Sabres 14th overall in 2012. Ristolainen was Buffalo's first selection (eighth overall) in this year's draft.
