Ducks vs. Stars Nov. 26 Game Preview
Today's game is the second of three meetings between the Ducks and the Stars. Dallas will do all that they can to break their four straight losses at their home ice since Oct. 24, but is expected to face strong opposition from the visiting Anaheim.
The Ducks' Ryan Getzlaf has led the Ducks with seven-point scoring streak in the last seven games. He is ranked fifth in the league in scoring 27 points (13 goals, 14 assists) and his teammate Corey Perry is eight at 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists).
While the Ducks have lost five straight games prior to winning two straight, they have also lost two players to injuries, who include backup goalie Viktor Fasth (lower body) and defenseman Luca Sbias (torn tendon).
Filling in the injured, goalie Freerik Anderson and defenseman Nolan Yonkman from Norfolk of the American Hockey League were recalled.
While the Stars have no injuries, Dallas is in need of a morale boost as they have lost both games this month to New York Rangers on Thursday followed by a 6-1 loss against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. In addition, the Ducks beat the Stars, 6-3, in Anaheim on Oct. 20.
Dallas will need the support of the crowd as they face their Tuesday's opponent Anaheim. Stars' Benn has three goals and eight assists in his last eight games for Dallas. Could he step up even more in this critical game to regain their team's confidence?
