Colorado lost a center but got another back from injury. Matt Duchene played in the Avalanche's 4-1 loss to St. Louis Blues. He was originally not supposed to play until Friday, but Paul Stastny had back spasms, leaving Duchene to fill the role.
Minnesota, on the other hand, lost 3-0 MOnday to the Blues. Zach Parise got hurt using his left foot to block a shot. The player to watch is Patrick Bordeleau, who scored Avalanche's only goal on Wednesday.
