The last time that Dr. Creflo Dollar made the news headlines it was due to an arrest. However, "overcoming" all the odds, Pastor Dollar returns to the spotlight with the release of his new book, "Overcoming Fear: Eliminating the Bondage of Fear."

Trying to connect with the majority of people during current times, Dr. Dollar's new book covers the topic of overcoming fears in everyday life and finding peace during the most frightful times in one's life. Using his own experiences and stories including his account of having cancer, Dr. Dollar hopes his testimony will reach out to others in dire need.

"Millions of people live under the stronghold of fear," said Dr. Dollar about his brand new book. "Their lives are stunted, limited and even controlled by it. I've experienced what can happen when Satan and his spirit of fear gain a foothold in our lives. But there is victory, and I'm eager to tell my story, and the story of how God can bring us victory over this debilitating condition."

The book, which was released this week, covers the topic of fear not being "normal" in the Christian life, and should not be tolerated. The chapters and experiences penned by Dr. Dollar all share the unanimous road to victory in Jesus.

The release of the new book places Dr. Creflo Dollar again in the limelight, but in a more positive manner. In June 2012, Dr. Dollar made mainstream headlines when he was arrested for allegedly hitting his then 15-year-old daughter during a dispute. His daughter called the police after her father allegedly choked and slapped her. Dr. Dollar was arrested, taken into custody, but charges of battery were ultimately dropped by prosecutors after completion of an anger management program.

Dr. Dollar spoke publicly about the arrest and continued to preach regularly. "I will say this emphatically: I should have never been arrested," said Dr. Dollar after the incident. "The truth is she was not choked, she was not punched. There were not any scratches on her neck." Dr. Dollar claims that all other reports of assault were an "exaggeration."

Despite the incident, Pastor Creflo Dollar and his ministries remained unhinged. The Atlanta-based pastor remains as "one of the most prominent African-American preachers" with his congregation totaling to over 30,000 members in the Atlanta church alone. Additionally, he oversees multiple ministries and organizations such as the Creflo Dollar Ministerial Association, Creflo Dollar Ministries, and Arrow Records and has satellite churches across the country.

WIth the release of his new book, Dr. Dollar hopes to reach multitudes who have accepted fear as part of their lives. "Most people yield to fear because they don't know what else to yield to," said Dr. Dollar in an interview. "To believe with your heart is to believe against your body....against what you feel."

"Overcoming Fear: Eliminating the Bondage of Fear" is currently on sale for $14.99 and can be pruchased through his website, http://www.creflodollarministries.org/overcomingfear/
