The Heat lost to the Pacers in Game 1, but LeBron James is ready to even the series in today's game. In Game 1, the Heat made just 6 of 23 3-pointers, grabbed just four offensive rebounds and fouled 37 times. The Pacers shot 51.5 percent from the field.

James is trying to rectify their loss in Game 1.

"We cleaned a lot of things up today and we're ready for tomorrow," he said, according to AP. "You just go in with the mindset that it's a must-win and we go at it tomorrow."

While the Heat may have a determined mindset, the Pacers will have home-court advantage and has an equal if not greater determination than that of their visitors.

Coming into the Finals, the Heat defeated the Nets 4-1, and the Pacers 4-2 over the Wizards. The two Eastern Conference elite teams began their final stretch towards the championship, where the winner will play against the Western Conference winner.

In the series against Wizards, the Pacers limited the Wizards' scoring to a franchise-record low. It is still a question whether the Pacers will be able to apply the same strategies against the Heat.

The Heat have shown great teamwork. While LeBron James was heavily guarded, the rest of the team took over the responsibilities of scoring. This was the reason that Heat was able to defeat the Brooklyn Nets that veteran players like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.

The highlight of the best-of-7 series matchup beginning today is that former MVP LeBron James will be matching up against NBA's next young superstar, Paul George. In the last two years, the Heat have won the championship despite Pacers' strenuous efforts to elongate the series.

The Heat have effectively eliminated their opponents thus far with their strong perimeter shots, while Indiana has been the No. 1 defensive team for their tough inside guys.

"Two best teams in the Eastern Conference. It's that simple," James said, according to AP. "I mean both teams defend at a high level, both teams share the ball, both teams get into the paint, both teams have a desire to win, so that's why it's been equal."
