LeBron James has decided to exercise the early termination option on his contract with the Miami Heat, James agent, Rich Paul, told the Heat, according to his agent Rich Paul, the USA Today reports.

This decision came just weeks after Miami Heat lost their title to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, ending James and his team's consecutive reign at the top.

Just last week, Pat Riley commented on Heat's inability to defend the title, "I think everybody needs to get a grip - media, Heat players, organization, all of our fans - we got to get a grip on greatness and on teams.

"I've been here for 45 years in the NBA, and I've witnessed dynasties, I've witnessed great teams. The '80s Lakers, five championships in 12 years. So what does that mean? Seven times they didn't win. In that run, they didn't win. You got to deal with it, you got to come back.

Despite what Riley said, James will not be continuing to stay in Heat and is probably looking for a change and fresh start with another team.
