LG G3 Release Date for Verizon, AT&T, Sprint: $99 Pre-Order Sale at Amazon and Best Buy

Jul 17, 2014 03:03 PM EDT

Ahead of its release date, the LG G3 is now available for the discounted pre-order price of $99 at Amazon and Best Buy. Consumers wishing to purchase their LG G3 from Best Buy are eligible for a $50 gift card, but need to fill out this form before activating the phone.

Even so, both retail offers are available only with two-year contract from Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T. Also, prices may increase due to buyers choosing more expensive service plans.

Besides Best Buy and Amazon, Verizon is making the same $99 pre-order offer on its website. AT&T and Sprint, however, are charging the usual $199 for the LG G3 with contract. That means buyers save $100 on the discounted offer.

Verizon's LG G3 comes in either Metallic Black or Silk White. This black and white option is also the same for the AT&T's version.

Sprint stands out from the rest by offering the LG G3 in Shine Gold as well as the standard Black. Buyers wanting their Sprint LG G3 in white will be disappointed because this color is not available.

Regarding specs, the LG G3 is powered by a quad-core SnapDragon 801 CPU rated at 2.5 GHz. For picture-taking, users can depend on the phone's 13-megapixel camera that comes with laser autofocus. This device also boasts a 5.5-inch Quad HD Display at 2560 x 1440 pixels. All this hardware is supported by a 3,000 mAh battery.

Prospective US buyers may be pleased to hear that the American-version has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. In contrast, the International model only has 2 GB RAM with 16 GB storage.

The LG G3 will see its release date this week on July 17. Be warned, the Amazon and Best Buy offer expire on the day of launch.
