The Philadelphia Eagles will be in San Francisco at 4:25 PM EST Sunday, to meet the 49ers in one of the biggest matchups of the weekend.  The perfect Eagles want to continue being perfect, and the 1-2 niners want to get to 500 and never look back.  They want to make a home-stand at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco, turning the early season around and getting back to winning.

The game is on FOX, but you can watch a live stream of the game online on one of the links below (free with subscription).

And if you looked into a crystal ball to see what San Francisco's offense would have to do to contribute to that feat, you would have to see the offense playing a mistake and turnover free game, and quarterback Colin Kaepernick getting it done. Even though San Francisco needs more than that to win. Last week Kaepernick went 29-37 for 245 yards.  For the 49ers to win, they will need something else, like a strong running game from Frank Gore, if he' s healthy.

Tight end Vernon Davis should be healthy this week, so he could be that possible go to guy for Kaepernick that makes the offense go.

On Defense, the best thing the unit could do is come together and quit committing so many penalties.  They lead the league with 20, and have committed half of those when the opposing team was in third and long.  If you want to stop a team from moving the ball, the best thing is probably to stop moving it for them.

The Eagles  are third worst in the league with 15 defensive penalties.

San Francisco is the most penalized team on both sides of the ball, with 41 total penalties.

The Eagles offense has also been somewhat sporadic.  They have had to come from behind in all of their wins, and seem to be a team that wants to make things exciting.  Coach Chip Kelly has them playing with intensity, and their game plan and conditioning play on fatigue, which takes a while to set in.  Fatigued defenses get penalties, so this could create a good situation for Philly.

They may need some help from penalties, too.

Thier offensive line has been beaten up, and Nick Foles has taking a beating, too.  Lesean McCoy was pounded around last week, too.  Whether they can withstand the 49ers rush will be a big question this week.
