Electronic Arts is feeling generous once again by running a new "On the House" promotional program that sees popular games given away for free. This week's offering is the wildly popular 2009 hit from BioWare, Dragon's Age: Origins.
"There's no catch," EA's website assures. "Grab full games, expansions and more at absolutely no cost. Just make sure to act fast because On the House specials can appear and disappear at any time."
This particular giveaway ends on October 14th and is only available for the Windows PC version to Origin members. Not an Origin member? You can sign up for free right on the company's website.
Dragon Age: Origins is a role-playing game that is set in the fictional fantasy world of Ferelden. The character you play can be created with a variety of race and class options, and allows you to lead a party of non-player-controlled characters on your adventure. The game features 9 downloadable content packs and an expansion, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. A sequel entitled Dragon Age II was released in March of 2011.
The On the House promotion has been running since March 27th of this year and has previously included popular games like Battlefield 3, Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies, and more. This month's promotion also includes a free copy of PopCap's addictive Bejeweled 3 for the PC and Mac. As with all games on the Origin platform, once you download the game, it's yours to keep forever. These aren't free trials or demos; these are the full versions of each game.
The Dragon Age: Origins giveaway is just in time for the upcoming release of the third game in the series, Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is expected to release in North America on November 18th for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
