December is here and the holiday season is in full swing. That usually means more time off work to play video games and more people playing these games thanks to some amazing Black Friday and Cyber Week deals on consoles.

For Sony's PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, many users are especially excited at the beginning of the month when the popular console reveals a lineup of new games on the PlayStation Plus network.

First up, let's take a look at what's free to PS Plus members on the PlayStation 4. Injustice: Gods Among Us - Ultimate Edition was already revealed as a December game way back in early November, but we're still excited to see the DC Universe-themed game hit the PlayStation network tomorrow.

Injustice: Gods Among Us - Ultimate Edition is a boosted version of the original title that includes all previously released downloadable content, marking the end of new DLC for the game. The NetherRealm Studios game features six new playable characters (bringing the total to 31), over 30 new character skins, and 60 new S.T.A.R. Labs missions.

Besides being full of one-on-one action combat, the game also relies heavily on a deep storyline set in the DC Comics Universe. According to lead designer John Edwards, the unique plot is used to explain why and how iconic characters usually on the same team -- like Batman and Superman -- would battle each other.

Next up is Secret Ponchos, also revealed for the PS4 back in early November. The game is set in a stylized version of the Wild West in what the developer calls a "fast-paced and innovative new form of online combat" from 1-vs-1 stands-offs to 4-vs-4 team battles.

For the PlayStation 3, we have the Hitman HD Trilogy and Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut. The Hitman HD Trilogy contains all three of the classic Hitman games remastered in gorgeous high definition, including Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts, and Hitman: Blood Money.

Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut is a game bundle that includes the original game, plus all 12 pieces of in-game DLC and five unique avatar images. Bonus outfits include the Espresso Suit, Field Ops Suit, Friday Night Outfit, Happy Songkran Suit, High Roller Suit, Special Ops Suit, and Cat Girl Outfit, and bonus vehicles include the Chibi Chibi Bang Bang, The Devil's Red, The Blue GT, and The Green Drifter.

Final Horizon is the free game this month for the PS Vita. This sci-fi space combat game is best described as "two-minute tower defense" with plenty of strategy, fast-paced action, and gorgeous 3D graphics. Sony describes the game as "a strategic, puzzling, action-packed tower defense game. We've developed and optimized our PS Vita engine to be able to pack more action in that we know Vita players have been asking for."

And finally, a game available for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, Titan Attacks is the Space-Invader-esque indie game you've been waiting for. The classic arcade shoot-'em-up features over 100 levels of action against alien fighters, bombers, and giant boss motherships across five different worlds. You can also win prizes in sharp-shooter competition stages and compete in multi-player mode for a spot on the online leaderboards.

You can find all of these games ready for download on the PlayStation Plus network starting on December 2.
