Sony has confirmed the new free games that will be arriving to the PlayStation Network on January 6 for all PlayStation Plus members, and the list includes two that were previously announced, plus four more that are sure to keep you going through the cold winter month.

First up, we have inFamous: First Light for the PlayStation 4. The game is a standalone downloadable game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony exclusively for the PS4. It features the story of Abigail Walker, a young "conduit" who uses her special powers to fight for either good or evil while she searches for Brent,  the man who originally saved her. The game is considered an off-shoot of the main series that features InFamous, InFamous 2, and InFamous: Second Son.

Next up, we have The Swapper for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Playstation Vita. According to the official PlayStation blog, "The Swapper is an award-winning, narrative-driven puzzle game set in the furthest reaches of space." The sci-fi game features a special cloning device that players must use to create copies of their character to solve increasingly difficult puzzles. The unique game uses the environment to challenge your mind like no other game has before.

The third game on the free list is Prototype 2 for the PlayStation 3. This sequel to 2009's best-selling open-world action game adds shapeshifting to the mix. The story follows the challenges of James Heller as he sets out to kill the main character from the original game, Alex Mercer. Heller has the ability to shapeshift, meaning that he can assume the identities and memories of other characters in the game to reach his objectives.

Next on the list is DuckTales Remastered for the PlayStation 3. This game is a complete visual redesign of the original 8-bit game that features hand-drawn animated sprites and the authentic voices from the original Disney cartoon. Who doesn't want to play as Scrooge McDuck as he leaps into his giant vault full of gold coins?

The fifth game on the free list is another oldie-but-a-goodie: Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition. This PS3 and PS Vita game is the ultimate collection of the revolutionary Duke Nukem series that includes enhanced versions of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition, Duke It Out In D.C., Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach, and Duke: Nuclear Winter, as well as the original MS-DOS version of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition.

And finally, the last game on the list is Whoa Dave! for the PS Vita with a PS4 version announced to be coming soon. Whoa Dave! is a wildly popular indie game that features classic arcade style and design mixed with advanced challenges and gameplay. "Help our hero, Dave Lonuts, survive an insane alien invasion and line his pockets with shiny pennies," the PlayStation blog describes. "Hurl alien eggs, skull bombs, and explosive WOAH blocks to stay alive and sky rocket yourself to high score fame and fortune."

All six of these free games will be available starting January 6 for PlayStation Plus members. If you have feedback on the current list, or want to suggest an upcoming free game, head on over to the PlayStation Community forums to make your voice heard.
