PlayStation Plus Free Games list for March and April 2015 (PS Vita, PS4, PS3)

At the beginning of each month, Sony posts a list of free games for members of the PlayStation Plus network. This list usually contains around six or seven games for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita consoles. While March's list has already been revealed, it seems that an early entry for April has already been leaked.

Sony is offering up six free games for March, first revealed back on March 3. These games are completely free for all members of the PlayStation Plus network, but with only around a week and a half left before April's complete list is revealed, Sony has to really ramp it up for April after Microsoft's announcement that it will be doubling the amount of free games it gives away for its own Games With Gold free game promotion.

For the PlayStation 4 in March, we start out with Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - New 'n' Tasty, which is a reboot of the 1997 classic. "Explore ancient ruins, dodge carnivorous beasts and avoid trigger-happy hunting parties as Abe, the original Oddworld hero in this lovingly re-crafted take on PlayStation® classic Abe's Oddysee," the game's official description states. "Once a happy floor waxer in Oddworld's biggest meat processing plant, Abe stumbles across his boss's secret plan to turn the factory's slave labor force into the latest in the RuptureFarms Tasty Treats line of novelty meat snacks. Abe now has to save his own skin from the grinders even if simply escaping the flesh farm is only the start of his Oddysee."

Also included for the PlayStation 4 is Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a single-player puzzle adventure game set 100 years ago during World War I and based on an actual letter that was written during the war.

And for the PlayStation 3, we have a few goodies, including the puzzle-platformer Papo & Yo and the crime-solving mystery Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments. For the PS Vita, two more favorites are offered in March: OlliOlli2 and CounterSpy.

All of these games are completely free until April 7, when the next batch will be available, including the accidentally-revealed Dishonored from Arkane Studios.

The leak happened during the March reveal when Sony accidentally linked to Dishonored, but quickly removed the link. The company soon offered up a bit of an explanation for its mistake, revealing that Dishonored is actually meant for April's linup.

"Dishonored is coming to PlayStation Plus (PS3) in April," Sony admitted. "Sorry for the confusion this month - we pulled the trigger too early!"

Dishonored is a stealth action-adventure game that was published by Bethesda Softworks in 2012 for Windows, Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3.

The game features a first-person perspective where your character must assassinate a variety of targets, but the emphasis is on player choice through each mission. It's set in 19th century London and Edinburgh and stars an impressive cats of voice actors, including Chloe Grace Moretz, Susan Sarandon, Carrie Fisher, Michael Madsen, Lena Headley, and more.

Dishonored has received extremely positive feedback from reviewers, including a Metacritic score of 91/100 for the PC version and most 9/10 scores from major game review sites like The Verge, GameSpot, and IGN.
