Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC 2 Release Date: U.S. and Europe Launch Lags behind Japan

Dragon Ball Xenoverse (DBX) DLC 2 is coming out, but not to North America and Europe anytime soon. The game is playable PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

Originally slated for a March release, the DLC 2 package has been postponed until April 8 - albeit for Japanese players only. A Bandai Namco Games Japan representative made the announcement on the official DBX website. Keep in mind that this statement pertains to Japanese players only.

"We apologize for any inconveniences caused with the lack of information," the representative explained in the statement that was translated and reposted on ShonenGamez. "Alongside the above DLC pack there will also be maintenance, please check below for further information."

The spokesman added that the DLC Pack 3 will be made public soon, but did not mention an exact announcement date.

Based on the same statement, players worldwide will also expect to see a massive six-hour maintenance and shutdown of all DBX servers on April 7.  The maintenance is meant to fix known issues in areas such as battles and parallel quests.

European players will see downed servers on April 7, 8:00am - 2:00pm Central European Time. North American players will be affected earlier, but for a shorter amount of time. Servers will be down on April 6, 1:00pm-5:00pm Pacific Standard Time.

It is uncertain exactly when DBX fans in the United States and Europe will be receiving DLC 2 content. Previously, the first DBX DLC was released in North America shortly before the update was launched in Japan.

Even so, this has not put an end to speculation that DLC 2 will be available to international players a few days after the Japanese release. Venture Capital Post, for instance, predicts the U.S. launch to occur on April 11.

Upon release, DLC Pack 2 will add 4 playable characters (Towa, Mira, Eis Shenron, and Nuova Shenron). There will also be 3 Time Patrol Quests in Story Mode, as well as 2 Parallel Quests. 24 signature moves have been added to a variety of playable characters (Pan, Mira, Towa, Eis Shenron and Nuova Shenron). Five characters will be getting five new full costumes (Pan, Gogeta, Super 17, Mira, and Towa). Pan GT has been made a Master, and will have Five Master quests. To top it off, six new Z-souls will be present. These are the new features confirmed for the North American and European release of DLC 2.
