Dragon Age Inquisition DLC Updates Dragonslayers and The Black Emporium, With a New Patch

Dragon Age: Inquisition has been a hit for Bioware, and players for the game on the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms are being treated to not just one, but two DLC (downloadable content) packs as well as a new Patch.

The Inquisitr reports that agents in multiplayer of Dragon Age: Inquisition have brand new DLC to download.  This DLC is free and it is known as "Dragonslayer", which includes new characters, new weapons, the option to fight dragons, and more.

The Dragonslayer DLC is the second to be released to the game, the first being the Jaws of Hakkon (coming to the PS4 on May 26th).  It is the first DLC to add new playable characters such as Avvar the Skywatcher, Zither the virtuoso, or Isabela the duelist.  If you are interested in unlocking these agents, there are instructions located on the FAQ sheet from Bioware.  One of these new characters is included with the free chest provided to players, while the other two can be obtained by crafting their armor found in chests purchased by the player, as well as looting randomly as drops.

What players are really looking forward to in multiplayer are dragons, which were only found throughout the game's single player campaign.  The previously mentioned FAQ sheet will tell how to summon a dragon and what to expect as far as loot from them.

In addition to all of this, there is a report that the "Dragonslayer" DLC is accompanied by another DLC designed for the single player called "The Black Emporium".  There will also be a new Patch that BREATHEcast reports that it will fix several issues that gamers have been complaining about and other things that improve stability and "some that adds the ability for PC players to sheathe and unsheathe their weapons".

For those unfamiliar with Dragon Age: Inquisition, it is third in the Dragon Age franchise.  The first offerings were Dragon Age: Origins in 2009, and Dragon Age II was released in 2011.  Dragon Age: Inquisition was released during the holiday season last year, and it was met with critical praise.

The game is set in a fictional kingdom of Ferelden and has a role-playing style a lot like Dungeons and Dragons.  The player can choose to be a certain class of character, and then go into a world filled full of quests and adventures.  Bioware described it as "a dark heroic fantasy set in a unique world", and the Dragon Age series is also described as a spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate series of games which took place in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting of Dungeons and Dragons.

For those that want to purchase Dragon Age: Inquisition, I have some very good news.  According to VG 24/7, you should be able to go to the Origin site and save up to 33 percent on it, which will bring the price down to $39.99.  It will be interesting to see what Bioware brings to Dragon Age: Inquisition in the future, and I would imagine that there will be a lot of DLC, free or otherwise.
