WWE 2K16 will debut at E3 2015, which will be held June 16-18 in Los Angeles. The game's domestic release date is set for October 27, while its international launch is scheduled for Oct. 30.

Meanwhile, rumors regarding the roster lineup and gameplay features continue to be rampant on the web. In the sections below, we will explore what we know so far.

Stone Cold Possibly Coming to WWE 2K16

There are rumors that Stone Cold Steve Austin will be central in one of the main story modes. This information comes straight from What Culture, which quoted a Memphis Cerrito Live Radio Show interview with Jerry Lawler.

"They're having in this year's game, a big Stone Cold Steve Austin Attitude Era section and they have me and J.R. back together again in the studio doing voice-overs for that," Lawler had said.

2K Sports did not officially confirm the WWE Hall of Famer in its lineup. Still, this has sparked much excitement amongst longtime wrestling-fans. Even Austin himself has teased about big announcements on Twitter, according to Wrestle Zone.

Some Fan-Favorites May Not Be Included

Inevitably, a few fan-favorite characters may not show up in the wrestler lineup. One example includes Alberto Del Rio, who lost his job with WWE. Del Rio had slapped an employee for making an alleged racial slur against the former's Mexican heritage. Both individuals were eventually fired.

Tag-team duo, Hardy Boyz, will not make it to the game because they are already under contract with TNA. Like the Hardy Boyz, wrestler Kurt Angle has also signed a dealt with the wrestling organization. That means Kurt is less likely to be on the WWE 2K16 roster as well.

New Body, Stamina System, Customization

According to Venture Capital Post, WWE 2K16 may have a new body system in which the AI will react to appropriately to player actions - such as being struck in the head or legs. Players can also use a variety of weapons including tables, folding chairs, kendo sticks, ladders, and sledge hammers. There may also be a stamina system that determines whether players can complete a move for their favorite wrestler.

One area where WWE 2K15 lacked was customization options. Many observers in the rumor mill believe that WWE 2K16 will bring some form of customization. However, this remains to be seen. More details may be revealed at this year's E3 in June.
