Christian motivational speaker Nick Vujicic has announced that he will be the father of a second child, who is expected to arrive soon.

Vujicic posted the announcement on Facebook on Thursday. He thanked photographer Nicoletta Daskalakis for taking the pictures of his family.

"Sharing with you the joy of our family in the excitement and anticipation of Dejan's arrival," Vujicic wrote. "We got some pretty awesome shots. Hope you enjoy these photos."

Vujicic also thanked his followers for prayers directed to his family. His announcement has received over 1.3 million likes and nearly 83,000 shares on Facebook.

According to Pallavi Thakur of Speaking Tree, 32-year-old Vujicic knew that God had a big plan for his life. The motivational speaker was born in Australia without arms or legs.

"There is no medical explanation for Vujicic's physical disability, an extremely rare congenital disorder known as tetra-amelia syndrome," Thakur wrote. "He has a small foot on his left hip which helps him balance. He can type, pick things up between his toes and even kick a ball."

Thakur added that Vujicic was a "self-confessed adrenaline junkie" who goes swimming on a regular basis and has attempted skydiving.

"Nick is the president of motivational speech marketer Attitude is Altitude," Thakur wrote. "Though he struggles with some practicalities of everyday living (brushing teeth, for example), he has become an in-demand inspirational speaker."

According to Thakur, Vujicic didn't always have a confident attitude and positive outlook on life.

"Confidence didn't come naturally to Vujicic," Thakur wrote. "Growing up in Melbourne, Australia, he struggled with depression and was bullied at school. When he was just 10 years old, he attempted suicide."

Thakur reported that Vujicic then decided to adopt a positive attitude. An encounter with his high school janitor at 17 years old inspired him to take up public speaking.

"The charismatic Australian now travels the world addressing huge crowds, including business groups and schoolchildren," Thakur wrote. "He has visited more than 50 countries and given thousands of talks."

Vujicic indicated that there was a reason why God made him and why things happen.

"You do your best and trust in God and never give up," Vujicic said. "I grew up with this mindset and was thankful for what I had. Not only did my parents raise me in such a beautiful way, but they had the courage to have more children."

According to Thakur, Vujicic now lives in California with his wife, Kanae, and their 2-year-old son.
