Megachurch pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potter's House in Dallas, Texas is gearing up for this year's MegaFest, which promises to inspire, empower, and entertain attendees.

In August, Jakes will kick-off the highly anticipated revival in Dallas with three days of "entertainment, music, seminars and power-packed inspiration for an unforgettable family experience."

The nation's largest Christian festival, which will be held August 19th - 23rd, brings together several leading figures in the evangelical world. Speakers this year include preacher Christine Caine, Joyce Meyers, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Cleveland's R. A. Vernon, Bishop Tudor Bismarck, comedian and talk show host Sheryl Underwood, and Pastor Serita Jakes. A variety of musicians and entertainers, including Tyler Perry, will also be featured throughout the conference.

MegaFest, which this year expects tens of thousands of attendees, is a family-friendly event which encompasses the best of the Bishop's ministries such as Manpower, Woman Thou Art Loosed, MegaYouth, and MegaKids experience.

"It's very, very dear to my heart because I think it creates an atmosphere that people of faith need," Jakes, who is also a prominent entertainer and movie producer, told The Christian Post last month. "To come into an environment that is designed for people of faith that still has church and has worship and all of that, but also has fu n- [such as] comedy shows so you can bring your kids or your grandmother too."

"We've got concerts that they can come out and enjoy; we've got empowerment sessions and they can strengthen themselves and their career, so it's one stop shopping," he shared. "We've got something for all ages - teenagers, young adults. And particularly with so many single parents today, to have your values reinforced in your kids right before they take off to school, that's a good thing!"

Since launching in 2004, MegaFest has grown to become one of the largest faith-based multi-day festivals in the United States with organizers saying it has so far reached nearly 1 million people worldwide.

"MegaFest harkens back to a simpler time when families spent quality time together," Jakes previously stated.

"With so much chaos and turmoil ensuing in the world today, it will be critical for families to reconnect and recharge their batteries in a fun-filled, inspirational environment. It is also a great opportunity to showcase the best that Dallas has to offer - from its dynamic business community, to its arts and entertainment to its renowned shopping, restaurants and hospitality venues. MegaFest is a can't-miss opportunity for all."
