Warner Bros.' 2015 action-adventure game Batman: Arkham Knight has just been treated with a fresh patch in the form of update 1.05. Reports suggest that the update come bearing new features including an interesting Photo Mode along with several bug fixes and enhancements.

Batman: Arkham Knight receives huge patch update

The recently released title, developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros., has been launched worldwide back in June. Although its PC version has faced criticism and ultimately postponed due to performance issues, its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions have worked well and continue to be enjoyed by gamers on said consoles.

While the developer is currently working on the PC version, Rocksteady's console teams have already released a handful of patches for the Batman: Arkham Knight Xbox One and PS4 editions.

Now, it appears that the game's PS4 players are among the first to enjoy this new patch as update 1.05 is already available right form the PlayStation Network. At 4.3GB, the patch will be a hefty download. However, those who have been diligently keeping their game updated to the latest patches will only have to download about 1.6GB.

The Batman: Arkham Knight update 1.05 changelog has been spotted by Eurogamer and listed them as follows:

  •  New Photo Mode
  • New Force Original Voice Cast option for non-English Territories
  •  Support for upcoming August DLC
  •  Updates for WBPlay and Downloadable content
  •  General gameplay, graphical, audio, UI and localization fixes

Batman: Arkham Knight's New Photo Mode

As indicated, two of the most notable inclusions to Batman: Arkham Knight via this new patch are the "Photo Mode" as well as the "Force Original Voice Cast." The latter provides an option for the game's non-English versions to use the original English voice cast. The former, however, is an interesting addition.

The Photo Mode lets players capture free-frames photos of the Dark Knight in action. The images taken will be UI-free and feature a complete screenshot of the gameplay. Players will also be able to edit the photos using different effects and filters. The pictures can then be easily shared to their friends right from the game console.

This Batman: Arkham Knight patch is also intended to pave the way for the approaching August DLC pack. It's expected to add new skins for Batman and the Batmobile based on the "Batman" film shown in 1987. It will also feature new skins for characters Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman along with new racetracks inspired by the film's sequel called "Batman Returns."

Apparently, those details are not all there is to update 1.05. According to Gamepur, which cited a post by Reddit user "Scartanion," the patch also reveals information about the game's September DLC which will reportedly be called "Crime Hunter Challenge Pack #1."
