The Boston Celtics remain active in pursuing additional NBA stars to give their team the boost to finally take home another championship title. With Kevin Love rumors still up in the air, the Boston Celtics is clearly not the only team eyeing to sign the NBA star - with the Cleveland Cavaliers bringing in the big guns as LeBron James himself is said to be the one taking charge of the negotiations.

Apart from Love, the NBA stars in the current wish list roster of the Boston Celtics include DeAndre Jordan and Greg Monroe. With the possibility of acquiring those NBA players dubbed as highly unlikely at the moment, it now becomes apparent how much the Boston Celtics are struggling to fill in the loss caused by the departure of Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen.

At the moment, the Boston Celtics have two returning NBA stars: Jae Crowder and Jonas Jerebko. The departure of Rondo to the Dallas Mavericks in December left a gaping hole in the Boston Celtics roster. However, this was immediately filled with the re-singing of Crowder - an NBA star now considered as one of the most valued players of the Boston Celtics. As for Jerebko, the Boston Celtics expect to see an increase in their basket points with the re-entry of the Detroit Pistons shooter in the team.

As for the new players in the team, the Boston Celtics managed to acquire quite an impressive bunch. Starting with the successful trade with the reigning NBA team, the Golden State Warriors, the Boston Celtics welcomes David Lee in exchange for Gerald Wallace and Chris Babb. The entry of Amir Johnson also promises a strengthened defense for the Boston Celtics. The former Detroit Piston power forward enters the NBA team with a promise to bring the team to greater heights with his team-first attitude and determination.

Perry Jones is another new entry for the Boston Celtics. Fresh off the Oklahoma City Thunders, Jones looks to the Boston Celtics to provide him a great start in his NBA career. As for Zoran Dragic, the former Miami Heat star is now getting acclimatized to the playing style and strategies of the Boston Celtics. As the start of the NBA season draws nearer, it would be exciting to watch how the Dragic brothers - with Goran Dragic staying with the Miami Heat - will fare against each other.

Meanwhile, Jared Sulinger's future in the NBA team remains a bit vague as rumors of him getting traded off keep hounding the athlete. While the Boston Celtics have yet to comment on the matter, the speculations regarding a potential trade for the star continue to surface due to his several injuries which disable him to contribute to the NBA team's goals, according to Sports World Report. In addition to Sulinger, Evan Turner is also eyed as a potential trading chip by the Boston Celtics. While sources state that Turner might get minimal interest among the NBA teams, the Boston Celtics appear to be thinking of using him as trade for draft picks instead.
