Joy, is an upcoming movie for 20th Century Fox that features guns, The Rolling Stones, drama and a person's strong determination to succeed. Joy Mangano dreamt big at a time when women are not supposed to remain as house makers tending to the needs of the family. But Joy's grit and determination allowed her to overcome all the challenges and society's stereotype at that time.

Joy's struggle took her doing menial jobs until she changed her career and presented the world with her invention that eventually built her a business empire.

The movie will also star Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, Viginia Madsen and Edgar Ramirez. 'Joy' is directed by David O Russell based on a story he co-wrote with Annie Mumolo.

In its web site, 20th Century Fox described Joy "the wild story of a family across four generations centered on the girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right. Betrayal, treachery, the loss of innocence and the scars of love, pave the road in this intense emotional and human comedy about becoming a true boss of family and enterprise facing a world of unforgiving commerce. Allies become adversaries and adversaries become allies, both inside and outside the family, as Joy's inner life and fierce imagination carry her through the storm she faces. Joy defies genre to tell a story of family, loyalty, and love.
