Marvel's hit superhero series Marvel's: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will officially premiere on September 29 at 9 P.M. on ABC, but we are already getting a slew of plot spoilers and what to expect in the coming season 3.
The first spoiler is the news that Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) will be missing to the agency for a while as she struggle deciding whether S.H.I.E.L.D. still deserves her focus or if she should instead rebuild her personal life, reported Aces Showbiz.
Wen told TV Guide, "In any situation when someone is so devoted to their work as May was, but then realizing over the last two years that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn't really what she dedicated her life to." She added, "That there was definitely a lot of corruption to S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as uncertainty now with the Inhumans being brought in by Coulson (Clark Gregg). It's going to be figuring out her final decision in season 3 and I think Andrew (Blair Underwood) will probably play a part in it."
However, May's former lover Dr. Andrew Garner (Blair Underwood), has gotten over his grudge against S.H.I.E.L.D. and now wants to focus more of his time working with the agency.
Underwood said in an interview, "What's interesting is now May is disgruntled by S.H.I.E.L.D., but last season when May came to Andrew with the idea of coming back to S.H.I.E.L.D., he was disgruntled and had left the agency. But now he's back working with them and the Inhumans."
Samuel Jackson to Make Special Appearance in Marvel's: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
A separate report by JobsNHire revealed that the Secret Warriors will be the focus of the next season of Marvel's: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Secret Warriors are fictional group of agents with superpowers who will prominently play in the upcoming season.
Comicbook.com said that the Secret Warriors will be led by Quake or Skye.
With the appearance of the Secret Warriors, Samuel L. Jackson, who plays the character Nick Fury in the Marvel's franchise, is expected to make a special appearance in one of the episodes. This makes plenty of sense since Nick Fury is the leader of the Secret Warriors in the comic book.
There is still no detail when Jackson will make his appearance in season 3 of Marvel's: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but other notable stars have made an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Hayley Atwell, Cobie Smulders and Maximiliano Hernandez.
Previously, Entertainment Weekly revealed that actress Constance Zimmer will be casted in the upcoming Season 3 of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to lead a dubious group of government agents that will hunt the Inhumans, directly clashing with the S.H.I.E.L.D's agents.
Zimmer, known for her roles in Entourage, House of Cards and UnREAL, will play as a major antagonist of the next season and will see her with several confrontations with Director Phil Coulson. She will be seen in the season opening episode, the report said.
To recall, the season ending episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. showed of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents fighting a group of Inhumans led by Jiaying Grant Ward (Brett Dalton) leading Hydra's remaining members.
In the next season, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will be facing not only the Inhumans but Zimmer's team as well. It is not yet known what Zimmer's character name in the next season.
The official release date of Marvel's: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is on Tuesday, September 29 at 9 P.M. on ABC.
