The next installment of the highly-anticipated Transformers franchise will feature a new cast of robots, including Ultra Magnus, Blitzwing, Scourge, Cyclonus, Override, and Red Alert. Ultra Magnus, the reluctant but obedient leader and second-in-command, will be teaming up with Optimus Prime in battling the evil Deceptions in yet untitled Transformers 5.

Despite his incredible fighting skills, courage and unmatched talent for improvisation on the battlefield, Ultra Magnus is most comfortable when carrying out orders, and is naturally at ease if the Matrix of Leadership should ever find itself placed upon him.

In the animation series, Optimus Prime appointed Ultra Magnus to take command on Earth after he went to space to confront the Decepticons that were drifting through space where he met the ultimate evil, Unicron.

The reports said that the introduction of Cyclonus and Scourge could indicate that Unicron has sent some new Decepticons that he recycled using parts from other dead robots, and to prepare for his plan to consume Earth.

In the final scene of Transformers: Age of Extinction, Optimus Prime left for space to confront the creator also called the Quintessons. While he is battling the Quintessons, Optimus will be leaving Ultra Magnus to defend the Earth against the Decepticons thwart any attempt to destroy the planet and the human race.

Because Transformers 5 is reportedly set both in space and earth, there were reports that its script will be divided into two parts. Optimus Prime and his Autobots will also see a final confrontation against Unicron, the lord of the Decepticons, reports have indicated.

"One will have Optimus Prime facing the Quintessons who are the creators of the Autobots with the help of his second-in-command Ultra Magnus," Day Herald quoted Inquistr as reporting. "This event will result in the final confrontation between Optimus Prime and his team with Unicron, who is the lord of the Decepticons."

The appearance of the Dinobots in the Transformers: Age of Extinction could also indicate that the producers of the franchise are planning a Beast Wars spinoff. This was further confirmed as the some robots to be featured in Transformers 5 will have the ability to transform into animals, like in Generation 1.

Head writer Akiva Goldsman earlier said that the beast war could be a possibility, depending on any of the group of writers' who think they can include the concept into the script.

Michael Bay is set to return to the Transformers franchise as director, and he has a lot of help behind him.  Seriously, there is a team of writers that are behind the fifth live-action movie iteration of Transformers.

It has been reported that Akiva Goldsman his heading a team of screenwriters to write the script for Transformers 5, which apparently doesn't have a subtitle as of now.  If you aren't familiar with Goldsman work, he has written many speculative fiction movies including two Batman films (Batman Forever and the now infamous Batman and Robin), Lost in Space, I, Robot, and won an Oscar and Golden Globe for his work on A Beautiful Mind screenplay. Also helping out with the script are Ken Nolan, Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Christina Hodson, Lindsey Beer, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, Robert Kirkman, Art Marcum, Matt Hollowy, Zak Penn, and Jeff Pinker.  All these writers have incredibly great marks on their resume.  Robert Kirkman is the creator of The Walking Dead, Art Marcum worked on Iron Man, and so on

Earlier, Mark Wahlberg, who took over the franchise at Transformers: Age of Extinction has already confirmed his return.
