Now that The Arrow fourth season has a confirmed premiere date, episode 1 spoilers continue to surface. In this article, we will explore what has been revealed so far. Season 4 of The Arrow will air Wednesday, October 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

Where Season 3 Left Off

The Arrow third season finale ended on a happier note, with Ollie literally riding off into the sunset with love-interest Felicity Smoak. Ostensibly, the superhero has decided to retire. Still, this does not mean that Team Arrow will stop fighting crime.

Last month, a never-before-seen concept art of Team Arrow's new hangout was leaked onto the internet.

"In designing the new lair, we had to think in terms of the much larger group that Oliver [Stephen Amell] has now surrounded himself with and how Team Arrow is a much bigger enterprise," executive producer Marc Guggenheim told EW in August.

Guggenheim refused to disclose the actual location of the new lair within Star City. However, he did explain the layout of the base.

"One of the fun things about this lair is that as opposed to one big space, where everyone would congregate, it's now a much larger space divided up into smaller spaces," Guggenheim explained. "There is an area for Felicity [Emily Bett Rickards] to work, there is an area for Oliver to work out, and there is a garage. There are many different places we'll continue to discover over the course of the season that give you a sense that this thing is a bit bigger than we got used to in the first three years."

Oliver Queen's New Costume

At San Diego Comic-Con, showrunner revealed the new costume for Oliver Queen, a.k.a. The Arrow.

Longtime DC fans know that Ollie will eventually be called The Green Arrow. However, it has not been revealed exactly when the protagonist will be getting the "green" designation.

Stephen Amell, who plays Ollie on the show, recently joked that his new look consists of "jogging pants and a hoodie." Though The Arrow is supposedly retired, the redesigned costume suggests that the superhero may be called back into action.

Possible Main Villain, Damien Darhk

So far, this mysterious character has only been mentioned by name. In the episode Al Sah-him, Ra's al-Ghul tells Oliver that Damien leads a "hive of followers" who has defected from the League of Assassins.

In the DC Comics universe, Darhk is the mysterious head of the criminal organization H.I.V.E. The CIA and FBI regard Darhk as a threat, but have trouble finding hard evidence against him.

Actor David Ramsey, who plays Diggles, told E! Online that he understands H.I.V.E. will play a major role in the Season 4 storyline.

In Season 3, audience learned that Darhk was once Ra's al Ghul's loyal companion. Their friendship soured after Ra's was chosen to lead the Assassins. Damien apparently felt he was more worthy of the position. Ra's hesitated in killing his friend. This leads to Darhk escaping and forming a rival organization modeled on the League.

Naturally, the main villain will only be confirmed once Season 4 begins.
