The 19 Kids and Counting clan have yet to recover from the effects of Josh Duggar's indiscretions disclosed to the public earlier this year. As a way to cope with the issues, Jill Duggar Dillard and husband Derick Dillard opted to move across the globe and engage in missionary work. The couple brought along with them their baby son, Israel David Dillard.

With the news of Josh Duggar's scandals starting to die down, the 19 Kids and Counting stars are attempting to rebuild their lives. For Jill Duggar Dillard, her first step is to finally acquire her license as a certified professional midwife (CPM). The news was announced in the Dillard family's official website courtesy of Derick Dillard's blog post.

"This will be especially helpful on the mission field," wrote Derick Dillard, referring to the CPM license acquired by his wife. He added, "The light at the end of the tunnel was always there, but we just hadn't seen it until recently. And if anybody knows how much hard work it has been for her, it's me. Jill has been very disciplined and sacrificed a lot to get to this point. So much so, that I don't have the capacity within this brief blog post to give all the details to do it justice."

The 19 Kids and Counting family have been through intense publicity as of late due to the scandals that shoved Josh Duggar and his entire brood into the spotlight. Barely a month ago, Josh Duggar had his name revealed as one of the clients who signed up for the Ashley Madison service, which is a matchmaking website that helps married or committed men hook up with women to engage in an extramarital affair.

The inclusion of Josh Duggar in the list of men who availed of the service revealed that the 19 Kids and Counting star had been cheating on his wife, Anna Duggar, while she was pregnant with their fourth child. In addition, Jim Bob Duggar's eldest son admitted to have pornography addiction. With these issues in mind, the 19 Kids and Counting brood announced that Josh Duggar admitted himself to a Christian treatment facility in an effort to battle his addictions and hopefully come out as a new man.

However, the Ashley Madison scandal was not the issue that drove out the fans and followers of the 19 Kids and Counting brood. Months prior to the revelation that Josh Duggar had been engaged in extramarital affairs, the entire clan of Jim Bob and Michelle was slammed and scrutinized by the media and the public due to allegedly concealing the teenage indiscretions of the erring Duggar son.

Police records unearthed by the media disclosed that Josh Duggar had been served with molestation charges at age 16. Five girls came forward as victims of the crime - in which two of the children then, Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald, are his own sisters. The allegations prompted TLC to cancel the long running show of the family, 19 Kids and Counting, and the advertisers to pull out the endorsement deals offered to the Duggar clan.
