Agents of Shield Season 3 Premiere Live Stream, Spoilers: How to Watch Video Online (Hulu, Amazon)

Sep 29, 2015 05:35 PM EDT

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 premiere live stream will be happening tonight on ABC Go. Over the weeks, spoilers have been revealed by Marvel Entertainment via its official YouTube channel. Unfortunately, ABC network is only allowing online streaming access to paid subscribers of participating TV providers.

That means the cord-cutting audience will miss out on the live stream. Sadly, there are no free and legal means to view the show on the exact day it premieres. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 3 airs tonight, September 29 at 9/8C on ABC.

Cord-Cutting Options thru Hulu and Amazon

Happily though, Hulu offers episodes for free eight days after the original air date. So, audience who are willing to wait over a week will not have to pay a dime.  Bear in mind, Hulu only keeps the last five most current episodes from the current season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The streaming service will air Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. third season starting on Wednesday, September 30. But, the first episode may only be available via subscription on the first day it is available. Subscribers only need to pay $7.99 a month. One drawback is that viewers are forced to watch commercials despite having paid subscription. For a whopping $11.99 a month, Hulu has a no-commercial option service.

Diehard fans wanting HD quality videos will be better off with Amazon instead. The company offers a Season 3 TV pass for $39.99 on HD and $34.99 on SD. While this may sound expensive, it is important to note that typical major TV seasons run between 5-6 months. This means subscribers are paying between $6-8, depending on type of service. Of important reminder, mobile device viewers will need to check to see if their devices are compatible with the Amazon service before purchasing.

What's New for Season Three

This week, Marvel has released three clips from the first episode of Season 3.

The first clip involves an "inhuman" named Joey who discovers his powers, but cannot control it. This leaves at least one person dead. A paramilitary agency tries to capture Joey, but its operatives are foiled by the unexpected arrival of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Meanwhile, Skye (Chloe Bennet) arrives on scene using her powers.

Next clip shows Joey confined in a nicely furnished, windowless room. Agents Skye and Mack walk in to explain the situation to their guest. Joey is shocked to learn that he has alien DNA, which makes him half-alien.

In the final clip, Skye and Mack try recruiting Lincoln - who has returned to normal life since events in Season Two. Now a doctor, Lincoln is just settling into his new surroundings. He does not welcome S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intrusion in his life, and insists he is "not taking orders from anyone anymore."
