Those that enjoy the Netflix-exclusive show Orange is the New Black have been following the misadventures of Piper Chapman and her life in Litchfield Penitentiary, not to mention the lives of her fellow inmates.  The show is due for a dramatic return in 2016, and this is what is known about Orange is the New Black Season 4 Release Date, News, Spoilers, and Relationships.  Most of the developments include storylines with Piper and her many complicated relationships.

According to The Master Herald, there are now rumors saying that Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Larry Bloom (Jason Biggs) will reunite.  Viewers of earlier seasons recall that Piper and Larry were engaged to be married and intended to be married after Piper served her time.

Unfortunately, Piper fell for Alex (Laura Prepon), and Piper and Larry broke off the engagement.  Larry was not seen at all in Season 3 (nor even mentioned), and he had fallen for Piper's best friend Polly Harper (Maria Dizzia).  Then, in Season 3, Piper fell for Stella Carlin (Ruby Rose), and Alex was out of the picture.  Then Piper decided to turn on Stella, so Stella is out of the picture.

So who is in the picture now?  Considering that the show is based on the true story of Piper Kerman, who ended up marrying the real-life Larry in 2006, perhaps the relationship will follow this real-life occurrence.  However, many find that Piper and Alex could be the one audiences are rooting for, and the showrunners can always change the ending.

In the Season 3 finale, there was a cliffhanger ending where it was not known what the fate of Alex would be.  Actress Laura Prepon has left a message on Instagram saying that she is "excited to get out there and make an awesome season for you guys." This is a spoiler that Alex survives her attack, but not any information on her role in Season 4.

Jason Biggs has stated that he would return to being Larry "in a heartbeat," according to Huffington Post.  Speaking of returning characters, there also might be a chance that Matt McGorry's character, Josh Bennet, could return.  In Season 3, the correctional officer suddenly decided to run away from Daya Diaz (Dasha Polanco), as he could not face the fact that he had impregnated her.  This storyline was heavily emphasized in Seasons 2 and 3, and even though the baby born in prison is going to be addressed in Season 4, it will be interesting to see if Josh takes responsibility for the child.

Then there are rumors that are Uzo Aduba's character Suzanne, also known as Crazy Eyes, will have some love interest.  This was teased in Season 3 with her connection to Maureen (Emily Althaus), but this storyline was never really carried too far, focusing more on Suzanne's ability to craft erotic science fiction.

There have also been rumors that Britney Spears and Caitlyn Jenner will be making appearances, but those have not been confirmed.  It has been reported that Jolene Purdy, who stared in Under The Dome, will have a recurring role in Season 4, according to Arts.Mic.

Orange is the New Black Season 4 will most likely premiere in June of 2016, following a pattern of being released once per year at around that month.
