Warcraft Release Date, Update, Spoilers; Poster Hints of Human vs Orc Showdown

Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have released a new poster for Warcraft, the classic fantasy film adaptation of the hugely popular video game World of Warcraft. The poster provides a first glimpse of Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel), the human hero in the movie and orc warrior Durotan (Toby Kebbell), reported Entertainment Weekly.

The poster also provided some insights about the major showdown between Lothar and Durotan. The poster has the tag line "Two worlds. One home," highlighting the conflict between humans and the orcs fighting for dominance.

Warcraft the movie is a 3D epic adventure of a world in a conflict between humans and orcs based on the massively-popular Blizzard Entertainment's universe. The movie is directed by Duncan Jones (Moon, Source Code) and was written by Charles Leavitt with a rewrite by Jones, said Comingsoon.net.

The film adaptation of the World of Warcraft is a collaboration amongst Legendary Pictures, Blizzard Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment production, and is produced by Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner. Stuart Fenegan, Jillian Share, Brent O'Connor, and Blizzard Entertainment's Michael Morhaime and Paul Sams were identified as the film's executive producers. Rob Pardo and Blizzard Entertainment's Chris Metzen and Nick Carpenter co‐produce with Atlas's Rebecca Steel Roven.

Also, Legendary announced that the official trailer of Warcraft will be unfiled on Friday at BlizzCon. Legendary posted on its official Twitter account, "Enemies will unite and worlds will collide. Get ready for the worldwide debut of the #WarcraftMovie trailer on 11/6."

Comingsoon.net writes, "Fighting for The Alliance, Warcraft features Dominic Cooper as King Llane Wrynn, Travis Fimmel as Anduin Lothar, Ben Foster as Medivh, Ben Schnetzer as Khadgar, and Ruth Negga as Lady Taria, and on the side of The Horde is Clancy Brown as Blackhand, Toby Kebbel as Durotan, Robert Kazinsky as Ogrim, and Daniel Wu as Gul'Dan, with Paula Patton's Garona caught in the middle."

Warcraft is scheduled to his the silver screens on June 10, 2016.
