Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2015 Lineup, NBC TV Schedule: Route Map, New Giant Balloons, New Floats, and Celebrity Guest Stars

Every year, millions gather around their TV sets Thanksgiving morning to see Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.  The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is celebrating its 89th anniversary and will have something old and new for all of its viewers.  Here is a list of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2015 Lineup, Route Map, New Giant Balloons, New Floats, Celebrity Guest Stars, and NBC TV Schedule. 

According to the Official Macy's Parade website, the Parade will Kick-off at 77th Street and Central Park West at 9 AM ET.  After heading down Central Park West, it turns at Columbus Circle onto Central Park South for a good view.  Then the Parade veers South to 6th Avenue, with a great view from 59th to 38th Avenue streets.  If you plan on attending personally, you should plan on avoid watching from 6th Avenue between 34th-38th Streets and Macy's Herald Square, as the national television broadcast limits viewing here.  At 34th Street, the Parade makes its final turn and stops in front of Macy's Herald Square. 

According to the press release, there will be four new giant balloon characters taking the center stage which include Red from Rovio Entertainment's Angry Birds Movie, the pre-historic and legendary DINO by Sinclair Oil, Ice Age's Scrat and his Acorn by Twentieth Century Fox, and Ronald McDonald debuting in his fourth style of balloon.  Returning characters include Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, Diary of A Wimpy Kid, The Elf on the Shelf, Hello Kitty, How to Train Your Dragon's Toothless, PADDINGTONTM, PikachuTM, PillsburyTM Doughboy, Skylanders Eruptor, Snoopy & Woodstock, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger and Thomas the Tank Engine. There will also be returning Balloonicles, a Macy's Parade hybrid of cold-air balloon and vehicle, including the famed-spoke stuck The Aflac Duck and the KOOL-AID Man.

As far as new floats, the new ones include Big City Cheer! by the Spirit of America Productions, The Colonel's Road Trip to NYC by Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), The Cranberry Cooperative by Ocean Spray, Discover Adventure! By Build-A-Bear, Heartwarming Holiday Countdown by the Hallmark Channel and celebrating the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas is Snoopy's Doghouse by Peanuts Worldwide.  

The returning float roster includes 1-2-3 Sesame Street; Big Apple (NY Daily News); At the Ball Game (Cracker Jack); Dreamseeker (Cirque du Soleil); Enchanting World of Lindt Chocolate; Frozen Fall Fun (Discover); Free to Play (Sprout); Girl-Powered Spinning Machine (GoldieBlox); It's All Rock & Roll (Gibson Brands); Mount Rushmore's American Pride (South Dakota Department of Tourism); On The Roll Again (Homewood Suites by Hilton); Santa's Sleigh; Santaland Express; Stirrin' Up Sweet Sensations (Domino Sugar); Stone Forest of Kunming, China (Sino-American Friendship Association); Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Nickelodeon); Tom Turkey; Treasure Hunt (Pirate's Booty); Winter Wonderland In Central Park (Delta Air Lines); and A World at Sea (Royal Caribbean International).

Of course, there will be stars of film, television, stage, music, and sports including Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Mariah Carey, Dove Cameron and Sofia Carson, Cirque du Soleil, Daughtry, Andra Day, Andy Grammer, Sandra Lee, Shawn Mendes, MercyMe, MIPSO, Miss America 2016 Betty Cantrell, Jennifer Nettles, NHL legends Mark and Marty Howe, Jake Owen, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T's, Rachel Platten, Questlove with the cast & the Muppets of Sesame Street, Prince Royce, the cast of Broadway's School of Rock, Trey Songz, Jordin Sparks, Chica and the gang from Sprout, and Train.

There will also be showcases of the best theatrical productions including Fiddler on the Roof, Finding Neverland, The King and I, On Your Feet!, and Something Rotten.  There will also be a preview performance from NBC's The Wiz Live

There will also be some of the nation's finest performance groups that include the 610 Stompers (New Orleans, LA), Brooklyn Jumbies (Brooklyn, NY), J.U.M.P. jump rope team (Strongsville, OH) and the Kruti Dance Academy (Duluth, GA). Completing the performance groups are the Spirit of America Cheer and the Spirit of America Dance Stars, which both feature 550 of the nation's best cheerleaders and most thrilling dancers.

As for the bands in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2015 are twelve performance ensembles including:  Gulf Coast High School (Naples, FL), Lewis Cass High School (Walton, IN), Munford High School (Munford, TN), Nogales High School (La Puente, CA), North Hardin High School (Radcliff, KY), Stephen F. Austin State University (Nacogdoches, TX), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Champaign, IL), University of Virginia (Charlottesville, VA), Walled Lake Central High School (Walled Lake, MI), West Chester University of Pennsylvania (West Chester, PA) and the NYPD Marching Band (New York, NY).

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be airing on NBC from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET/PT.  It will be hosted by the TODAY Show's Matt Lauer, Al Roker, and Savannah Guthrie.
