Pokémon Z and Pokémon Go Release Date, Rumors: Will the December 2015 Issue of CoroCoro Bring The Correct News?

Pokémon fans have a lot to be excited about, next year.  Most fans look forward to the long-awaited Pokémon Z, which is supposed to be a follow-up to Pokémon X and Y, and it doesn't look like this game will be arriving this year.  The same goes for Pokémon GO, a location-based game made for iOS and Android that is also looking like it will be released in 2016.  This is what is known about Pokémon Z, and Pokémon Go Release Date and News, and there are a lot of rumors going on out there.

There is a report on iDigitalTimes saying that the next issue of CoroCoro, which will be released on December 15th, will have some big Pokémon news.  CoroCoro is a magazine designed for children as the target audience, focusing on the age-appropriate manga, but it does discuss the franchise's offerings in TV, movie, and video games.  Most of the time, the issue for December of CoroCoro will discuss the first details of the next Pokémon movie, but many are hoping that this will be the formal announcement of Pokémon Z to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise.

There was an announcement made by Game Freak's Junichi Masuda that warned Pokémon fans to know that should be watching Nintendo Direct on November 12th.  It revealed that Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow versions would be made available in the Nintendo eShop in 2016 as well as some new free to star Pokémon puzzle games.

Masuda was supposed to appear on Pokémon Get TV, and it was thought that he might reveal more about the new Pokémon games.  The issue is that if one does an Internet search on this interview, nothing is found.   If he did announce the release dates of Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO, the Pokémon fan community would be filling up the Internet with chats and posts about it.

As it is, there are mostly rumors.  We had previously reported that there were rumors of Pokémon GO being released at the end of this year, and we were also quick to dismiss that as nothing more than just rumors.  Most other sources like the Latin Post agree with us, and there has been a rumored date of February 27, 2016, that could be viable.  However, if this is a location-based game, encouraging its players to go outside, wouldn't a summer release date for 2016 be more appropriate?

In the meantime, there has been some news about the Pokémon GO Plus, the wearable Bluetooth device that works with the Pokémon GO application that works like a notification device on the wrist, in an odd shape that is reminiscent of a Pokémon ball.  The official Pokémon GO application can function without the device, but Pokémon GO Plus helps serve as a handy device where the player can check the application at just a glance at the watch.

So it looks like both Pokémon Z and Pokémon GO could have their debut in early 2016.  These release dates need to be made official, and perhaps they will be after that issue above of CoroCoro.
