NFL Draft 2016 Rumors: San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys To Lead Picks

The NFL season has seen a number of interesting runs this early on. Football teams projected to show off this year, such as the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers, turned out to be duds in the field. Meanwhile, those squads pegged to fail possibly or even not make the least bit of an impression like the Carolina Panthers are now flourishing in the spotlight. While it could be discouraging for NFL teams found at the bottom of the rankings, a silver lining can still be sought.

According to the predictions based on the current standing of the NFL teams, the San Diego Chargers, Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns have the same records this season. All three football squads hold an 8-2 record coming in Week 11 of the 2015 NFL season. With these in mind, these teams will be leading the NFL draft picks in 2016.

In a mock draft created by CBS Sports, the analysts believe that the San Diego Charges should not pass up the chance to draft Laremy Tunsil from the University of Mississippi. Pegged as one of the best, if not the most notable, defensive tackles in the field today, the San Diego Charges are sure to benefit from his wide array of talents. Meanwhile, Joey Bosa of the Ohio State Buckeyes is projected to be signed by the Tennessee Titans for his skills and the team's need for a better defensive end.

However, the San Diego Union-Tribune analysts believe that Bosa might be more suitable to be with the Cleveland Browns. According to the report, Bosa has the "physical gifts and instincts" to eventually take over Johnny Manziel's post. With Andrew Luck reportedly exiting the Indianapolis Colts and going after the same post in the Cleveland Browns' roster next season, it looks like Bosa might have some serious competition.

Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers are also pegged to be included in the first teams to take their picks in the 2016 draft. The aforementioned analysts all agree that the Jarryd Hayne team is set to lose Colin Kaepernick next season. Hence, it would be prudent for the San Francisco 49ers to eye potential quarterbacks to pick up the role. CBS suggests Jared Goff of the California Golden Bears football team to be the draft choice of the Carlos Hyde squad while the San Diego Union-Tribune notes that quarterback Paxton Lynch of the Memphis Tigers might be a better option.

As for the Dallas Cowboys, the struggling Tony Romo squad could greatly benefit from a talented linebacker due to the injuries of Sean Lee and the pending free agency of Rolando McClain. Both sets of sports analysts agree that Myles Jacks of the UCLA Bruins would make a great addition to the Dez Bryant team.

As of this writing, Cam Newton's Carolina Panthers and Tom Brady's New England Patriots are at the bottom of the 2016 Draft due to the teams' undefeated records this NFL season. The Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals and the Denver Broncos are close by regarding wins with 8-2 standing at this point. It remains to be seen if the projected standing for the 2016 Draft will change anytime soon.
